• Email address — provided when you sign in with a magic‑link email (handled by Firebase Auth).
• Player names — used in‑game to personalise your experience. You are not required to provide your legal name.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the App we automatically receive limited analytics information (device type, page views, taps, approximate city‑level location) from Google Firebase Analytics. IP addresses are truncated and never stored alongside your email.

2. How we use your information

• Authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• Personalise dares and role‑play stories for the named players.
• Process payments via Stripe.
• Monitor usage, fix bugs and improve features.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases

We process your data on the following grounds under UK GDPR:

• Contract necessity — to provide the service you request.
• Legitimate interests — to improve the App and prevent fraud.
• Consent — for optional marketing emails (opt‑in only).

4. Sharing your information

We share data only with trusted processors that enable the App to function:

• Google Firebase Auth & Firestore — authentication and database.
• Google Firebase Analytics — app analytics.
• Stripe Payments — subscription billing. We never store your full card details.

No personal data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising.

5. International transfers

LoverBite’s infrastructure is hosted on Firebase (Google Cloud) whose servers may be located outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK ICO.

6. Data retention

• Email addresses and login metadata — retained until you delete your account or 24 months of inactivity.
• Analytics events — retained for 14 months.
• Player names — stored only locally; you may clear them at any time via the in‑app settings.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion.
• Object to or restrict processing.
• Data portability for information you provided.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment information is handled by Stripe, a PCI‑DSS Level 1 certified provider. We follow industry best practices to protect your data, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via in‑app banner or email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes.
